Can older technicians who aren't comfortable with tech use it?
Yes. The screens are in Vietnamese, with big text and few taps. Technicians just enter their PIN to clock in and see their turns.
What happens when the internet goes down?
Turns and the time clock keep working. To take cards, turn on a phone hotspot for the POS, or send a QR code so customers pay on their phone. Everything syncs automatically once you're back online.
Do cash tips count toward pay?
Yes. Cash tips and card tips are recorded separately for each technician and added to payroll at period end.
Which card readers does it use?
Clover readers (Clover Mini, Clover Compact…). Money goes straight to your salon's bank account.
Is it hard to set up myself?
Not at all. The hardware arrives with the app already installed and the card reader already linked to your salon's account. BaoJup support walks you through it step by step over FaceTime. Salons in Texas can choose to have BaoJup come set it up in person.
My salon is small and has no kiosk — how does check-in work?
Print the QR code and post it on the door. Customers scan it with their phone and they're on the waitlist.
